Mistral Large 4 is Mistral AI's flagship multimodal mixture-of-experts model (about 1.05T total, 49B active parameters, 1.6B vision encoder), released in public preview on October 6, 2026 with a 1M-token context window (524K on OpenRouter) and open weights planned for later in October. It targets complex reasoning, coding, agentic workflows, and multilingual and image-understanding tasks as the successor to Mistral Large 3.
